Cynthia stayed in in the room next to mine in the compound where I parked to I never knew,
I was at home this very day and there was this song that was being played on my phone, it brought back memories of me and my ex so my heart got really heavy I began to sob quietly.

There was a knock on my door, I quickly cleaned my eyes and I went to open the door, how I wish I never opened that door, that day, that was the time I met Cynthia and there she was with that radiant smile of hers; chai!, Cynthia Fine ehh! If you see her shape🙆.

"Good evening" she said with a smile,
"Evening" I replied,
"I'm sorry, I hope I am not disturbing you, I learnt we had a new neighbour and I decided to come and check" she said,
"Wow that's nice of you thank you very much well my name is Joyce" I replied.
"You have such a beautiful name mine is Cynthia I am a 300 level student, you will enjoy your stay here welcome once more" she said
We shook hands and I entered my room.

Cynthia was very kind to me, and she is a very good cook, (It's not as if I don't cook o), She will cook serve me in my room. If you see her room ba, you won't even believe she's a student; what did she not have, there was a Flat screen TV, Correct Sound system, Fridge, a lot of fancy things, if you enter her room, you will not even want to come out.

The way she cared for me self I used to feel somehow sometimes, if she's washing her clothes she will call me to bring mine she will wash it while I rinse and dry, we did almost everything together, and the funny thing is, she has never asked me for 1 naira, she has been the one spending her money, sometimes I will complain about how much she spends on me and she will just say, "it's nothing"

She even gave me a spare key to her room, she said since most of my things were already in her room, I should have my a spare key to her room, I was happy that she trusted me enough to give me her keys, matter of fact I took her as a sister and a friend,  even though I was not the kind of person to relate with others easily, but her kindness broke that hardness in me, I was even thanking God for sending her to me,

Soon most of my clothes were in her room, most of my books too were in her room, in fact I stayed more in her room than my own room but I have never slept there, me I like sleeping comfortably so I always sleep in my room, but on this particular Saturday! Oh my god! how I wish that Saturday never came, I went to her room as usual.....
