Forgiveness
Submerged in pain
Awash in anguish
A life of frustration
A soul filled with bitterness
For you hold in such contempt
And refuse to forgive
For you view forgiveness
As a virtue for the weak
An act of mercy undeserved
That serves no useful need
So you continue to hold in contempt
A fellow being
You are then confined in this prison of hate
A prison of darkness
A prison filled with darkness
A prison built by you
Still holding in contempt
As a hate prospers
For forgiveness is not of the weak
For the Father in all His Might
Forgave us our transgressions
And in all His might
Continues to forgive
For love prospers
When a fault is forgiven
